Watch the tense new teaser for HBO's Westworld

The latest trailer for HBO's Westworld just aired on HBO, and it looks terrifying. Here, we see the eponymous Westworld, a futuristic theme park filled with human-like automatons. But it seems like the robots are developing sentience — and that may lead to deadly problems.

Westworld, created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy with J.J. Abrams in tow as executive producer, is a series-length remake of the original 1973 sci-fi thriller. Featuring an all-star cast including Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Tessa Thompson, and Ed Harris, the series, like its predecessor, will explore artificial intelligence and the dark side of human nature. The series has been in development since 2013, and promises to be both chilling and provocative. Extras even had to agree to a contract that mentions "genital-to-genital touching." It's safe to assume this series will be more sexually explicit than even Game of Thrones. Westworld premieres this fall.
