PartyNextDoor's "Come and See Me" music video debuted on the Snapchat Discover page today. In it, Kylie Jenner, his rumored girlfriend, checks her Snapchat to see what he's up to. Turns out, he's at the club, which is kind of a bummer because Kylie wishes they were making out! Girl, I know the feeling.

Looking back on the paragraph I just wrote I am truly in awe of how few of the words would have held any meaning for me five short years ago.

this is how we live now

Just to recap: Kylie Jenner is the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner crew, and she's building a Kim-like empire off of her matte lipstick "Lip Kits." PartyNextDoor is a rapper on Drake's OVO Sound label. Snapchat is an app that disperses photos and short videos to 150 million people per day. Music videos are a sport, and whoever shows the most merchandise wins.

As for the video itself: it's fine. Mashable noted, "Remember when Beyoncé dropped a visual album out of nowhere on HBO? This is kind of like that." Kind of, in that there's a piano involved. In any case, it's the story of young love, which mainly involves young people acting out terrible gender roles! Kylie waits patiently at home for some lip-locking while her guy has a grand old time. Who can blame her? We have built this culture and we live in it.

At the end there is a pretty solid rain smooch, which is what all good fans of music and love are here for. Congrats to Kylie Jenner, PartyNextDoor, Drake's whiskey brand, Kylie's lipstick brand, Snapchat, apps, Beyoncé, the future, and me.
