Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican candidate for president, had an image attacking rival Hillary Clinton tweeted from his account today with overtly anti-semitic connotations. The tweet, which says "Crooked Hillary -- Makes History!", contains a Fox News poll depicting Clinton as corrupt, and above it, a pile of money and a six-pointed star (commonly known to resemble the Star of David) with the words "Most corrupt candidate ever!" over it.

Two hours after the original tweet, Trump's account tweeted a new image that replaced the star with a circle. The original tweet was posted at 9:37AM ET, and remained on his timeline for more than two hours until it was eventually deleted.

Clinton campaign spokesperson Josh Schwerin responded to the tweet by asking why the image contained a Star of David. The Trump campaign did not respond to our request for comment by the time of publication.

Trump is known for personally using his Twitter account, where for years he has written insults and attacks on his rivals. During the 2016 campaign, Trump has been criticized for retweeting others, often recklessly, including messages from white supremacists. Unlike those cases, today's tweet appeared to be an original work from his campaign.

Update, 12:12PM ET: This story has been updated to reflect that the original tweet was deleted from Trump's account, more than two hours after it was published.
