Atlanta, FX’s critically acclaimed new series created by and starring Donald Glover, won’t return until 2018. According to Deadline, the Golden Globe-winning series is being delayed due to Glover’s production schedule, seeing as he’s set to appear as Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo movie.

‘Atlanta’ just won two Golden Globes

FX made the announcement during its Television Critics Association tour this morning, coming off the series’ two major wins at this Sunday’s Golden Globes for Best TV Comedy and Best Lead Actor in a Comedy. Atlanta was swiftly renewed for a second season last fall, just weeks after its debut. It came as no surprise at the time since it was praised by critics as one of the best new shows on television, and was buoyed by the strongest ratings of any cable comedy in years.

With all that in mind, it might seem somewhat odd that a second season be delayed this early in the series’ run. But Glover is already a busy man. Last year, he managed to produce the show while working on a new album, Awaken, My Love, that also went on to earn acclaim. Now, considering the fact that Glover is due to play an iconic character in one of the single biggest franchises on the planet, taking a step back makes all the sense in the world.
