David Lynch’s Twin Peaks revival officially has a premiere date, reports TheWrap. According to Showtime CEO Dave Nevins, the series will debut on May 21st, with much of the original cast in tow.

Nevins made the reveal today at the Television Critics Association press tour. The new, limited series will feature 18 episodes, starting with a two-hour premiere on the 21st. According to Nevins, the show will be a “close-ended, one-time event.”

“We’ve seen the whole thing,” he said. “David Lynch is one of the great film masters of my lifetime. I think this is the pure heroin version of David Lynch and I’m excited to put it out.”

“This is the full heroin version of David Lynch.”

Very little about the show’s plot is known at this point, but show creators Lynch and Mark Frost have teased the return of familiar faces, like Kyle MacLachlan as Agent Dale Cooper, as well as series composer Angelo Badalamenti. New faces will include the likes of Trent Reznor, Michael Cera, Naomi Watts, and others, all visiting Twin Peaks in unknown roles.

The plans for a revival were announced back in late 2014, so this news is sure to thrill patient fans of the cult classic. Lynch, whose last work on the property was 1992’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, will direct the entire run.
