The Star Wars: Battlefront II trailer has jumped out of hyperspace a little earlier than expected. Originally intended to be shown for the first time at this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration, a leaked version of the trailer instead arrived online this evening, showing the kind of combat we can expect from EA’s next Star Wars shooter.

The trailer has appearances from Rey, Kylo Ren, and Yoda

Namely, multiplayer battles on land, in the air, and in space. Clips of in-engine footage show Tauntauns running through the legs of AT-ATs, TIE Fighters screaming across lakes, and X-Wings dodging capital ship fire. The trailer promises that the action will take place across all Star Wars eras, and features appearances from older characters like Yoda and Darth Maul, as well as newbies Rey and Kylo Ren.

It’s not yet clear exactly which parts of the Star Wars canon the game will draw from, but a voiceover exhorts Imperial soldiers to “avenge our Emperor,” suggesting that at least one of the stages will be set after Return of the Jedi’s Battle of Endor. Other snippets appear to show Starkiller Base and a snowy world that could be Hoth.

That voiceover apparently belongs to a female Stormtrooper (or at least an Imperial soldier) who remembers her last order as “the day the real war began,” and whose “untold story” is the one likely to be told in the game’s planned single-player campaign. That, plus the First Order imagery in the trailer, would indicate that Battlefront II will flesh out the Empire’s downfall — a process still being hammered out in Star Wars books and comics.

The trailer doesn’t specify a release date, but the last Battlefront hit in November 2015, just before The Force Awakens’ December release. The new trailer’s final splash screen advises people to preorder to access heroes from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, suggesting it too will be arriving around the same time as the next Star Wars episode.
