A successor to Xiaomi's Mi Mix 2 phone (above) is on the way. Company spokesperson and product management director Donovan Sung made the announcement on Twitter, revealing that the Mi Mix 2S will use Qualcomm's new top-of-the-line flagship processor, the Snapdragon 845.

Unfortunately, we know basically nothing else about the phone beyond the fact that it'll be unveiled in full on March 27th. Sung's tweet also contains the number “273741,” which appears to be a reference to an AnTuTu benchmark score. So, well, make of that what you will.

The Mi Mix 2 will likely be released in Xiaomi's key markets of India and China, alongside newer frontiers such as western Europe. It may be somewhat notable that today's announcement was made as Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona — Xiaomi just opened its first store in the city yesterday and will have a booth on the MWC show floor, although it isn't expected to have any major new products on hand.
