LG Spectrum OTA update to address Netflix playback issues
The LG Spectrum just hit Verizon last week, but the carrier already has the first OTA software update for the Android phone ready to go. Weighing in at 10MB, build VS920ZV appears to have one purpose, and one purpose only: solving playback issues some users have been having with Netflix. Whether a high priority for the carrier or simply an easy problem to solve, the quick deployment of the update should be good news for owners looking to take advantage of the phone's LTE data connection and 4.5-inch 720p display. If you'd rather not wait for the upgrade to automatically download in the background, you can initiate it by visiting the phone's Settings app — but unfortunately, there's still no word on when the Spectrum will be getting a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich.
