Apple has snatched another high-profile British game executive to help lead its marketing efforts for the App Store in Europe. Robin Burrowes, who has held positions at HMV, MSN, and most recently as the head of Xbox Live marketing in EMEA, joined Apple in January according to his LinkedIn profile. Burrowes worked in Xbox roles at Microsoft for around seven years, and was responsible for the recent Xbox dashboard promotions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

MCV notes that Burrowes is the latest in a string of high-profile British executives recruited by Apple. Former Xbox PR manager Nick Grange joined Apple last year, along with former Nintendo PR manager Robert Saunders. It's also the second European executive hire for Apple this year after the company announced this week that former Dixons CEO John Browett will head up its retail operations worldwide. Apple's talent grab is a clear nod to its success with the App Store and its retail efforts, but the company has declined to discuss its latest hire.
