'Super Meat Boy' hits 1 million sales, 'Bastion' sells over 500,000
Indie critical darlings Super Meat Boy and Bastion can now boast the sales to match their acclaim, reporting figures of 1 million and 500,000 respectively. Bastion writer and designer Greg Kasavin announced the milestone on the Supergiant Games company blog, saying that holiday sales on both Xbox Live Arcade and Steam helped the team get there. Team Meat, on the other hand, simply said via Twitter that their game has hit 1 million downloads, though it's not clear whether this refers to cross-platform sales. We'd imagine so — alongside its successful XBLA and Steam releases, Super Meat Boy was part of the recent pay-what-you-want Humble Indie Bundle 4, which moved more than 435,000 units and raised well over $2 million for charity and developers.
