Pixel 8 and 8 Pro review: in Google we trust?

These might just be the Pixel phones we’ve been waiting for, but it all depends on how much trust you’re willing to put into Google.

Button customization is so hot right now.

Nothing OS 2.5, built on Android 14, is now available in public beta. It includes some style tweaks designed to keep the UI and home screen appearance in line with Nothing’s aesthetic, plus the ability to customize the action when you double press the power button. Button customization is all the rage right now, after all.

Nothing owners can enroll in the beta at nothing.community.


Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is set to launch in spring 2024.

Activision noted the date in a new blog post with a bunch of information about the future of the Call of Duty franchise. The new mobile version of the battle royale hit was first announced in March 2022.

A (partial) sneak peek at the OnePlus foldable in the flesh.

Unbox Therapy has published an early unboxing of the upcoming device and interviewed CEO Pete Lau. Although the unboxing only gives a limited view of the foldable (OnePlus has plenty more announcements to tease out before launch, after all), it does give a nice look at how flat it’s able to fold shut.

England moves to ban mobile phone usage in schools.

Following similar actions in France and Italy, England’s Department for Education is preparing new guidance to ban phones in school — even outside of lessons — to improve children's focus and help tackle bullying and disruptive behavior.

The department previously said in February 2022 that national rules were unnecessary because most schools were already taking action. Now, the government says the guidance could be written into law if it's ignored.
