Remember the Surface Table? The coffee-table sized tablet that was supposed to become a staple in every corporate office until tablet-sized tablets became a thing? Well the French company Kineti is back with the same idea, albeit at a slightly cheaper price.

The La Table Kineti is a Windows 10-powered touchscreen table that supports multi-touch and multiple simultaneous users. The 42-inch, 1080p display is waterproof — so you can use it as an actual table — and Kineti says users will be able to easily share photos and videos from their smartphones and tablets to the table, control their smart home devices, and tilt the display up for video conferencing or if you want to watch a video.

Of course the La Table Kineti isn't exactly cheap by normal standards, but at $5,600 it's relatively more cost effective than Microsoft's first two Surface Tables which came in at 12,500 for the first generation, and $8,400 for the Samsung model.

Whether anyone actually needs one, especially when you can buy a number of tablets that can do the exact same thing for $500, is a question in of itself. You can purchase the La Table Kineti today from the company's online store.
