The D5100 is the 2011 update to Nikon's consumer-level DSLR line and includes an articulating display, optional GPS, 11 focus points, and MPEG-4 video recording in a small and light plastic construction. Description	Sony's Alpha A57 is an SLT — single lens translucent — camera with a 16-megapixel APS-C Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor. It's the followup to 2010's well-received A55, the first camera to employ Sony's translucent mirror technology.	The EOS Rebel T3i from Canon continues their featured-packed-but-affordable formula. The T3i keeps the same sensor and technology from the T2i but improves upon its predecessor with an articulating display, full-manual controls for video shooting, and 3x-10x digital zoom function for its 1080p HD video capture.	Pentax's 2010 mid-grade DSLR, the K-r, was offered in either a glossy red or white finish (as well as the typical black). The K-r supports up to ISO 25600 and 6 FPS shooting with its 12.4-megapizel CMOS sensor.
