The Nintendo Game Boy Advance was the first of Nintendo's Game Boy Advance line of portable game systems. It could play Game Boy game cartridges, but also introduced a new smaller Game Boy Advance cartridge. The Game Boy Advance had a different form factor than the Game Boy line before it, and more powerful processing and graphics capabilities. It was very successful selling 33.6 million units in the United States by December 2006.
