Microsoft unveiled a brand new Xbox 360 design at E3 2010. Created with Kinect compatibility in mind, the refreshed console includes a dedicated port for the motion accessory and does not require the use of an additional power supply as older versions do. The Xbox 360 S features built-in Wireless N networking and also expands the number of USB ports by two, bringing the total to five. Finally, the physical power and eject buttons were replaced by touch-sensitive versions. In August 2011, Microsoft announced the glossy finish would be discontinued in favor of the matte appearance first seen on the 4GB model. Description |
