The Nintendo SNS-101 (also known as the SNES 2 or SNES Mini) was a redesign of the SNES that was lighter, more compact, and cheaper than the original. It played the same games with very similar internals, and was designed as an entry level console for those not wanting to invest in a Nintendo 64.
