The Sony DualShock 2 Analog Controller was bundled with the PlayStation 2 when it was first released in the year 2000. It was largely the same as its predecessor the original DualShock Analog Controller with the main difference being that all the buttons except for L3, R3, Analog, Start, and Select were now analog, meaning that they could detect pressure applied to them. The DualShock 2 also came in black instead of gray, and was compatible with the original PlayStation.
