The V1 is the higher-end (and therefore more expensive) of the two cameras that represented Nikon's entrance into the mirrorless interchangeable lens camera market. The new Nikon 1 series brought with it a new sensor size and a new lens mount (dubbed CX and Nikkor 1, respectively). Most notably, the V1 can take advantage of all Nikon F mount lenses when used in conjunction with an optional converter. The V1 features an accessory shoe port that allows it to utilize either an optional speedlight or GPS module. Description |
