Sony updated its 2011 VAIO Z ultraportable with an option for Intel's newly-released Core i5 and i7 processors. Other than the inclusion of a gold color and processor change, this high-performance ultraportable remains the same as its predecessor. It still utilizes a unique external Power Media Dock which, when connected via a proprietary Light Peak USB port, gives the computer access to a discrete AMD GPU (a Radeon HD 6650M) and an optional Blu-ray drive. Description |
The Zenbook UX31A is the direct replacement of the UX31, though don't be fooled by the similar product names, this is a serious upgrade we're talking about. Ivy Bridge processors from Intel and matte screen options will be available with the highest spec offering 1920 x 1080 resolution on a 13.3-inch IPS display. |
The ASUS Zenbook UX31 is a 13.3-inch ultraportable laptop. The device features either an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, an SSD with up to 256GB of storage and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. For connectivity, there is one USB 2.0 port and one USB 3.0 port as well as Micro HDMI and Mini VGA ports. It rivals the MacBook Air in thinness and features a combination of brushed and polished aluminum. |
