The N900 from Nokia is the predecessor to their previous N-series slider — the N810 — and now runs the Maemo 5 OS. The N900 features a landscape-sliding keyboard, a 3.5-inch resistive touchscreen with a 800 x 480 resolution, and a 600MHz OMAP 3 processor. Description |
Nokia's N950 is a QWERTY MeeGo Harmattan slider targeted to developers. The N950 is in some ways a stripped down version of the N9: the display is merely an LCD, there's no NFC, and the camera isn't of the same quality. The N950 was sold as a beta device to developers and it carried no warranty. |
The N9 is the only consumer handset from Nokia that runs the Harmattan version of MeeGo, a primarily mobile OS that was started by Intel and Nokia. The OS is centered around three homescreens that users can easily swipe to access. The phone itself features a convex curved glass AMOLED screen with a ClearBlack filter and a unibody polycarbonate shell. |
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the first device running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The HSPA+ GSM version is a pentaband device, able to utilize 3G networks nearly anywhere in the world. In terms of hardware, the Galaxy Nexus features a 4.65-inch 720 Super AMOLED HD display, 16GB or 32GB of on-board storage, 1GB of RAM, and NFC technology. |
