Lenovo's LePad S2007 is a 7-inch Android Honeycomb tablet targeting the Chinese market. The S2007 features a 7-inch, IPS display, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing cam plus an 8-megapixel rear camera, and is powered by a dual-core, 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor paired to 1GB of RAM.

Description

Running Android 3.0, the Acer Iconia A101 features a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, two cameras, a front facing 2-megapixel and a rear facing 5-megapixel with single LED flash. This model also features 3G connectivity on a GSM network.

Samsung goes round two for the 7-inch Android tablet market. The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus runs Android's Honeycomb 3.2 with Samsung’s TouchWiz skin. It features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 1024 x 600 display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of built-in storage, a 4,000mAh battery, a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. The tablet also has an IR port and features Peel's Smart Remote App.

The Xoom 2 Media Edition is one of Motorola's Xoom 2 series of tablets that will succeed the Xoom. The Xoom 2 Media Edition features a Gorilla Glass 8.2-inch IPS display and an IR blaster.

The Nook Tablet from Barnes & Noble features a low-glare ("fully laminated") 7-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display from LG, 16GB of internal storage, and 1GB of RAM. Its primary competition is Amazon's Kindle Fire, which costs $50 less.

The Kindle Fire has a multitouch-capable 7-inch IPS display, a dual-core processor, and at 14.6 ounces, a pretty lightweight frame. The resolution on that screen is 1024 x 600. The battery is rated to last for eight hours of continuous reading or 7.5 hours of video playback (with WiFi switched off).
