The original Kindle DX dwarfed the standard model with a 9.7-inch E Ink Pearl display. While not as portable as the regular Kindle, the DX offers far more real estate, making viewing things like charts and textbook content more convenient as a result. It was the first Kindle to include an accelerometer, and operated on Sprint's CDMA network.
