Announced through the booming vocal chords of Steve Ballmer at the Microsoft keynote during CES 2012, Kinect for Windows is, oddly enough, being touted by Microsoft as not being compatible with an Xbox — only a PC. It still offers the same cameras and directional microphones as the Xbox version, however, and this version will come with the SDK bundled in the box.
