The culmination to a long string of rumors, the iPad mini has a 7.9-inch display, offering the iPad experience in a form factor smaller than the traditional iPad's 9.7-inch display. The 1024x768 resolution of that smaller display is the same as the iPad 2, so any apps made for the larger iPad will also run on the iPad mini.

Description

The smaller version of the Amazon Kindle Fire HD has a 1280 x 800 7-inch IPS screen. Other than the different display size, the Android-based tablet features the same dual-anntena 5GHz Wi-Fi, stereo speakers, OMAP 4470 processor from Texas Instruments, HDMI, and Bluetooth connectivity as the 8.9-inch Fire HD.
