The BlackBerry Z10 is the first all-touch smartphone to run the BlackBerry 10 OS and represents a major bet by the company to compete in a modern smartphone ecosystem. It features a 4.2-inch multitouch LCD display and fast LTE connectivity.

Description

While the BlackBerry Q10 QWERTY smartphone looks very similar to legacy BlackBerry devices, make no mistake the Q10 is a thoroughly a modern smartphone: it runs RIM's new BlackBerry 10 OS, and has a 720 x 720 display above that full keyboard.

At first glance, Apple's iPhone 5 looks very similar to its predecessor but on comparison you'll notice it has a larger, 4-inch display and aluminum unibody construction. Its the first iPhone to include LTE connectivity as well as Apple's "Lightning" data connector for charging and sync.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II, successor to the famously huge Galaxy Note, ups the ante with an even larger 5.5 inch screen. Like other Samsung Note products, it's built with stylus use in mind, with several OS enhancements to support it. Additionally, the Note II's hardware has been redesigned to resemble that of the Galaxy S III.

Droid DNA has a 1080p display, the same resolution as a full HD TV, but all in a 5-inch display. This gives the device the highest PPI of any smartphone as of its release. Of course, if the phone looks familiar, it's because its based off of HTC's Japanese release, the J Butterfly.

Nokia's latest flagship smartphone, the Lumia 920, comes with a significant spec increase over the previous generation. While the Lumia 920 predictably bumped the display size up to 4.5-inches and runs Windows Phone 8, it also adds in some more unique tweaks like wireless charging and an 8.7 megapixel "PureView" camera.
