In its time (early 2011) it was a very good smartphone. It's CPU is just 2nd gen 1ghz Snapdragon with Adreno 205, but performs even 50% faster in benchmarks when compared to older Snapdragon phones and first Galaxy S. In case of perfomance and build quality (aluminium unibody) it's very similiar to Xperia Arc, which is very good for a mid-range phone. It's really snappy and with 3,7'' WVGA screen, very handy.
According to HTC, it will get ICS in 2nd half of 2012, so it also tells something about the capabilites of this phone.
Although it's already 2012 and this phone would be low-end now, it's still a very good choice for it's price and doesn't feel any bit outdated.
(The score was given comparing to other phones at the time of it's release)
