Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Verge Review

Samsung essentially created the market for the in-between smartphone — a device that could ostensibly take the place of both a smartphone and a tablet — with its wildly popular Galaxy Note lineup. (The Korean phone-maker recently boasted that it has sold over 38 million Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note II smartphones worldwide.) The Galaxy Note 3, available this month for $299.99 on-contract from all four major US carriers, is an evolution of Samsung’s very successful idea: it’s faster, slimmer,...

I have quite a few phones and this is the best phone I have had so far. Only thing missing is a keyboard. But I can dream can't I. So far it has been able to handle everything I throw at it and has awesome battery life!

    Would highly recommend!

Review for Samsung Galaxy Note III.

Excellent smart-phone with great usability. Android OS. Reasonable price-point. Samsung is without a doubt on top of their game.

    Usability - 8/10
    Camera - 8/10
    Functionality - 9/10
    Battery life - no complains.

Comparable to Sony Xperia, Huawei, HTC.

    Pros:

    Great Camera
    Nice Display
    Reasonable Price

Great for tech savvy business owners on the go.
    Overall score 8/10. Recommended.

This phone is an absolute tank. It breezes with everything you challenge it with. I personally take a lot of pictures and the camera is stunning. The only thing that draws this phone back is touchwiz. With the 4.4.2 update you can download the kitkat launcher but stock the software suffers. Otherwise it's one of the best phones on the market.

I have to start saying that I previously owned a Galaxy Note 2, So, my expectations about this device were really high , but after a couple of weeks I thought that if I would have the chance I would rather to keep my Note 2. Why? Simple: the Note 3 is just a little better in almost everything in comparison to its predecessor, with that said, I define the Note 3 with one word: Delivers. Period.
The screen is stunning, awesome colors (someone may say over saturated, I like it!) everything looks clear, is perfect for multimedia experience and reading.
Gaming couldn't been better (Because bigger is better), its processor never struggles, throw anything at it and it will do it.
Now days the biggest complain in most of smartphones users is battery life, with the GN3 this is not a problem at all, I never got less than 20 hours of usage (including at least 6 hours on screen) without charging my phone. the S-Pen it's not my thing, but just in case it's always there for when I need it.
Browsing the web is really fluid, very good experience.
I didn't find a great improvement by getting Adroid Kit Kat, but, at least I could download Google Now Launcher and get the rid off the annoying Touchwiz.
If you Don't mind the Size of this device, don't think twice go and say to your carrier take my money.

Samsung Galaxy Note III is definitely a great phone and an upgrade from the Note II. However, it's still not quite up there yet. The phone on hand doesn't quite feel like a premium phone. Although Samsung's attempted of fake plastic leather (look) back cover was a great idea, it just doesn't feel as great as HTC one, or iPhone 5s. All in all, it's a great phone, however, touchwiz is still holding samsung back. The look is bland and boring. I feel like we need to see a major software design upgrade for the upcoming touchwiz. Other than that, great device with a great battery life.

Owning the Note 3 for a moth and I'm quite impress and happy. I've never before use a phone of this size. Upgraded from a Nexus 4 and a Note 3, I notice the difference of performance at the first time I used the Note 3, and that makes me pretty happy. Despite not been a fan of big phones, it didn't makes me suffer the size. If I need to hold it with one hand I just swipe right and left and I get an iPhone-size screen, so I can handle the Note 3 with one hand, a feature that makes me pretty happy. I've to say that this is the greatest phone on the market by far. I used the 5S for a week and I felt the same as 2 years ago when I owned the 4S, more of the same. Maybe, the great HTC One is great but I have not used it yet.
