Samsung Galaxy S4

Verge Review

Years ago, people either bought an iPhone or “a Droid." Verizon’s marketing power, those insane robot ads, and maybe that just-close-enough naming convention made the carrier's Android phones virtually synonymous with their operating system. But now I hear people every day saying "Oh, is that the new Galaxy?" or "I don't really want an iPhone. I think I'm going to get a Galaxy." Thanks to its high quality and wide availability, not to mention Samsung's sheer brute-forcing marketing effort, t...

I have been an owner of Samsung Galaxy S4 since 16 Aug 2013... I am really happy with almost all aspects of the device... It has a gorgeous camera, an amazing display, great battery life, and a possibly the only one handed usable device with 5 in display. but still its software needs some optimization, and this issue have been partially resolved by software update,,,, but it is a great all around device.

    Its a decent phone.

At first , device was pretty bad (out-of-the-box) , then after some OTA updates , phone became much better.
    I turned off gimmicky features.

    Now , S4 runs like a beast.

    Screen and Camera are awesome.

Device is not as bad as what people said.It felt very decent to hold and feels very solid.

I loaded up my media on SD-card.Media runs great.

    IR blaster works well.

Not my first choice - would rather have had the HTC One, but this was given to me so I can't complain about that. But now after a week of playing with it, rooting, putting it through its paces - I'm liking it very much. Touchwiz has been greatly improved, but after a few days still had to root and put pure Google on it. Now it runs even faster of course, and without the ATT poopware. The display is beautiful, even though I am still partial to the One display, but it surely outshines the Retina display IMHO. Form factor is nice, I do have small hands though so one handed use can be a bit difficult and thus I am afraid to drop it when trying to use it with one hand. All in all, I'm very happy with it, and would recommend it to any Samsung/Android fan. Still looking forward to seeing how HTC bumps up the One later this year...

I was looking for a website that would help me with my search of finding a new mobile for myself, when I came across http://www.beforeyoubuy.co.uk/. This site is very helpful to a person who wants to purchase a phone, but is not able to make his/her mind about it. This site very elegantly explains all the features of the phones that are on display along with their price ranges, which make the choice for the viewers much easier. This site explains the features of every displayed phone in a simple layman language making the choice easier for its buyers. Overall it is an impressive site for someone who is looking for a comparing price before making their purchase.

The display is great, and using this phone feels really good. Call quality is not noticeably better than other phones, but navigating the internet is a real improvement over iphone. The battery life is decent, but not amazing when you use the internet for more than an hour. Pictures from the camera are crisp, though the button to take pictures is harder to press than I would like
