Jawbone Jambox

Verge Review

We’ve been fans of the Jawbone Jambox ever since its late 2010 launch. Although its $200 price tag is sure to cause a double-take, living with a Jambox for the last six months made me a believer in the portable Bluetooth 2.1 speaker powerhouse with 10-hour battery (depending upon use). Today, the little 57 x 40 x 151mm speaker gets even better thanks to a free 2.0 software update that adds LiveAudio to the mix - Jawbone speak for playback of three-dimensional binaural recordings. I was...

This is really nice to have in a college dorm or to take on a vacation. It's small, light and extremely portable. Pairing is incredibly easy and quick. It has incredible sound for it's size, but it's not quite loud enough.
And it's cool. Its hard to say that about many tech products.

I was underwhelmed with the Jambox when I first purchased it; there was a hell of a lot of audio ducking & it made me almost want to return it. But with the 2.0 update & LiveAudio, I was redeemed. It's an amazing little feature that makes you feel like your music is surrounding you. I'm still unsure as to whether I'd recommend this product to a friend; but if you really need a boom box on the go, the Jambox may be good enough for you.
