Spigen SGP Kuel H10

Verge Review

Until Paper for iPad launched, we didn't know many people who were clamoring for a stylus to use in conjunction with their iPad. And now, the Best Buy around the block from us is sold out of styli, and Amazon's in-house stylus has reached #1 on the sales chart for tablet accessories — ahead of smart covers, screen protectors, cases, and stands. Well OK, maybe it was Draw Something that spurred the rush, but if it's not completely evident, the stylus is making a bit of a comeback. While no...

While I'm not sure how to pronounce the name of the Kuehl, it's IS a pretty 'cool' stylus. It is clearly meant for attaching to a cell phone, primarily, given it's extremely pocketable, compact size. It's not clear from looking at it, or from the Verge review (which I think missed this fact), but the stylus actually telescopes to a (more) standard length and becomes very comfortable in the hand.

It is made of very heavy duty materials. I got the silver version, and it easily weighs more than a standard hollow, pen-length stylus, and is made of what appears to be solid aluminum. While it lacks any real design flare, it is functional and lacks any seams or grooves or flourishes that might attract snags in a bag, or scratch proximal electronic devices.

Screen tracking was very accurate, enough so that if you have a crappy touch-screen sensor, you will notice, but is nothing, I think, to write home about. That said, my standard is my Intuos3, so I might be a little too hard on the Kuel.

Finally, for the ridiculous price, it gets an extra overall point to the final score.
