Take LG's latest smartphone, the Lucid: it’s a decidedly mid-range device, or at least is marketed like one. It costs $79.99 on contract, a price once reserved for flip phones and “messaging phones,” whatever that means. It may be priced below Verizon’s flagship handsets, but...

LG Lucid is a very nice Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone that houses a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4-inch Gorilla Glass covered touchscreen, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a front facing camera that can capture 1080p video. It is a highly recommended device with a mild range.
