Apple MacBook Air (13-inch, 2013)

Verge Review

Toby’s Estate Coffee in Brooklyn should be my favorite local coffee shop. The Australian company’s first US location is big and bright, with ample seating, great service, and terrific coffee — the ultra-expensive Strada variable-pressure espresso machine behind the bar sees to that. It’s also full of attractive young people hellbent on challenging traditional notions of fashion, beauty, and exactly what constitutes a pair of pants. The entire experience is delightful. There’s only one...

Best purchase I have made on a computer. It leaves almost nothing to be desired because a retina display, but the battery life more than makes up for it. Performance is not an issue at all for me. Although i wouldn't mind a little extra horse power. The SSD make everything feel really snappy.

impressive, coming from a windows machine this is jut awesome, all day battery is superb. i am really happy with this computer. Picking 13 inches was completely adequate. the screen is ok ,keyboard and touchpad are really nice. i only think that could enhance my experience would be a retina display ,but i don´t really care.

I've been using my MacBook Air for school and I absolutely love it. The lightweight design and battery life make it the perfect computer for a college student. It feels very well made, not flimsy or cheap like other pcs can feel. The lightweight design helps to keep my bag light and not stressful for my back. This is a great computer and I would recommend it to anyone.

I would like Apple to generally give more pre-loaded software that users don't need to buy like pages, keynote, and spreadsheet. This computers battery life is crazy good, and I love the performance especially coming from an old Dell xp laptop. I like the fact that apple has balanced the performance and battery life of the product which is ideal for everyday users.

Fantastic laptop despite the lack of a retina display. The battery is ridiculously amazing and I can go 2 or 3 days without having to plug it in once. I highly recommend this laptop especially to anyone in high school or college. I've been using it for my school work for about a month now and I'm 100% pleased.

Excellent laptop, good battery and strong performance.
When doing simple things such as word processing or reading a pdf you can easily reach over 18 hours. It is fantastic to go to uni without a charger.
Thin and light, with a good screen. For those who are concerned about non retina - 13in has a higher resolution than the 13in non retina Mac Pro (In fact it is the same as the 15in non retina pro). So for those coming from a standard macbook pro, you would have no issues. Plus there is only so much work that you can do on a 13in screen so that's when you add a second display (which works great by the way).

I find that there are enough ports. Just get a USB HUB and you'll be good to go.

The IO is fast. Dead FAST.
From USB 3, Bluetooth 4, 802.11ac, thunderbolt, sdxc card reader and the SSD.
This really boosts performance on whatever you are doing.

In conclusion, this is a fantastic, all rounded laptop. For college, work, every-day.
As far as thin and light goes, it is more ultrabook than an ultrabook.
Additionally, it is cheaper than some of its competitors (like the vaio )

Very short and sweet review " This is the best laptop I have ever owned"
The weight is very light so at least I will not have to worry about excessive weight next time i'm on a flight.
The battery is so amazing and yes it does last 12 hours as advertised.
I have 100mb broadband and with the wireless connection I still get the full speed unlike my old windows laptop.
Its certainly with worth buying this if you can afford it... so much better than windows....

I was really impressed with the MacBook Air. It was a lot faster than I expected, and is just overall a great machine. I would recommend this laptop to anyone in a heartbeat! The Macbook Pro with Retina Display might be better, but for the average user, a MacBook Air might be even better, due to the thinness and lightness of the machine.

Its the BEST laptop you can get PERIOD

I know a lot of people were asking for a retina display but no one really needs it if you have that battery life with that wonderful design. If you look at other laptops there is always something that just doesnt fit but the new macbook air has it all! So if you are looking for a new laptop go and get it NOW
