Apple MacBook Pro with Retina display (15-inch, 2013)

Verge Review

New York City mornings never change, at least not for me. I wake up, I get a bagel and a cup of coffee, and I get on the subway to head to work. I cross my fingers hoping to get a seat so I can delicately balance my coffee between my knees and play a game or two on my phone. I’ve beaten a dozen games on my phone while riding the F train, and at least twice spilled hot coffee all over myself — once on a complete stranger who for some reason didn’t care that I was right in the middle of a...

The MacBook Pro 15" with Retina display is at the top of the food chain in the laptop arena when comes to design, power, gorgeous display, performance and shear awesomeness. It's only flaw is its hefty price tag, but in my opinion it is well worth it especially since it'll be my daily driver for the next few years. I custom built mine to be "future proof." While it is certainly difficult to know what the future may hold in tech, if my mid-2008 MacBook Pro 15" custom laptop was an indicator, then I'll have a beast of a computer in 5 years still. This laptop is truly amazing, I recommend it not for its design, which is top-notch, not for its performance, which is blazing fast, but for its consistency thereof time and time again.

One of the best laptops I've ever owned. The retina display is spectacular, the design is simple but beautiful and precise from the milling process. I have the $2,599 version. Does everything flawlessly. Does get a little warm but still perfectly fine. This laptop is more powerful than my iMac. This is a premium product that really delivers. Unlike Windows they did not "mess up" the software (my opinion). Every part is familiar but I was really looking forward to a redesign but I guess its fine.
