Barnes & Noble Nook HD

Verge Review

Barnes & Noble's Nook tablets may not have the brand cachet of the iPad or the Kindle Fire, but the bookseller's done an impressive job of turning itself into a consumer electronics company. While it's done so, though, the company's had trouble keeping pace with its competitors on another front: content. The Nook Tablet — like the Nook Color before it — is a solid piece of hardware, but with an app store and a content ecosystem that paled next to its competitors, its appeal was somewhat...

I've been with the nook platform since day 1 and each product kept suprising me and this one is no exception!!! The screen is gorgeous and fun to look at and I'm glad they updated the OS from the nook tablet/color, its simple to use and its customizable(you can customize it with your own photos, but it does come with pre-installed live and static wallpapers). Also, the reviewer said that the sound quality isn't good, well he's WRONG, the sound is loud and clear, and its a huge step up compared to the nook tablets/colors sound quality. Then the reviewer talks about the device being sluggish all the time, well it's NOT, it's fast and zippy to go around the interface and web browsing is fast as well. The ecosystem for the nook may not be as big as Apple's,Google's or Amazon's ecosystem, but the Nooks ecosystem is growing everyday. Overall I'm happy with my nook hd and I suggest that you should at least give the nook hd a look and also theirs this channel on youtube called Mobile Tech Review and this person gives you a tour of the nook hd and she talks about the highlights and features of the nook hd and why you might consider looking into this tablet.
