The Plattan is a good deal. The headphones have a pretty subtle, usable and comfortable design (like Nixon headphones), which is a nice counterpoint to the over-designed Beats by Dre and other similar headphones. Urbanears offers a pretty large range of colors (the matte black and grey are the best looking ones in my opinion).
Sound quality is better than average set of cans with pretty thumpy bass. good mid and high ranges for the lower end of the price range (better than the Nixon and Beats over-the-ears in the same price range). As with most lower priced headphones, the bass is the strong point. The sound is pretty warm and the headphones can pump out quite a bit of sound (though they are very good at ensuring those around you are not disturbed).
There's an inline mic, making the headphones immediately usable with the iPhone and many other devices with a single mic/headphone jack (only a play/pause button with no volume buttons). The Plattan headphones also have a few nice-to-haves like a cloth cord, the ability to daisy chain multiple headphones to share audio and the ability to fold down to a nice, compact package.
Bonus: Urbanears has had sales pretty often and the shipping is quick and hassle free so these can be picked up with minimal effort at a good price.
