Man. I can't think of a single thing that reminds me of being a kid. Best console of all time, wish the PS4 could have some of the things that it had, like no hard drive to make games load very fast, which made the PS3 and Xbox 360 seem like dinosaurs. I heard of a mod to make the PS2 bootup sound appear on Ps3/4 but it turned out to be false. Actually still worth buying today if you like retro games. I still play NHL 08 on it as much as I play COD Ghosts and NHL 14. Great timeless design, controller has been the same since '94 because it works, although the sticks were a later addition from '98. Beat the Xbox and GameCube for good reason. All around a good buy even today.

The PlayStation 2 was not my first console, but it served me very well until I got my PlayStation 3. I have been rather loyal to Sony's consoles, but that is not because I refuse to see their flaws--it's because I simply can't find many flaws. I still keep mine around to play some of my old favorites.

    Good Stuff
    - Very compact design
    - Reliable and well performing
    - DVD/media player
    - Great controller
    - Fun, memorable games

    Bad Stuff
    - Lacks modern features like easy-to-use, integrated multiplayer
    - Also, lacks almost any software in general
