But Lenovo saved its best for its latest, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon. The Carbon is the successor to last year's X1, and ticks all the ultrabook boxes, but it...

This laptop is a sum of its parts.

Everything is SOLID but nothing is outstanding:

    - Best ultrabook keyboard
    - Best ultrabook trackpad
    - Excellent TN panel 1600x900 display which is perfect resolution for 14 inch form factor
    - Good CPU/SDD performance
    - Good battery life
    - Good speakers

No the display is not IPS, its not Full HD, it only has one USB 3.0 port and the RAM is not replaceable. If you buy any other ultrabook you will compromise where something is POOR. Nothing on this machine is POOR. Except maybe the price :D

Z series - Speakers and keyboard suck
    Zenbook - Build quailty sucks
    S9 - Limited to 4GB RAM

    Would I buy again? YES
