What a disappointment.
From the day the Jawbone UP was rumored, I was excited. So when it finally became for sale, I knew I had to have it.
The first few days I was galvanized with this health bracelet! I was going through the modes: Sleep, Workout and Normal. Customized the software via my iPhone and the decent iOS app, it was vibrating waking me up, reminding me to move if I was sedentary for an expended period, and counting my overall steps and sleep each day..
My only gripes at the time was one, the cap that covered headphone style jack you must remove to sync was so tinny. I found myself dropping in and freakishly looking around, hoping not to lose it. The other gripe was that bracelet itself was made of a hard but uneasy plastic. They tout this product to be water friendly, and it does feel like it is. The problem is the bracelet becomes uncomfortable to wear over time. You'll find that it pulls your hairs on your wrist..
So why was I so disappointed, was it the fact that I was freakishly checking on the cap, or that I had to shave the hair of my left wrist to commit to this bracelet? No. It was the fact after one week, It no longer wanted to take a charge. It was dead, as dead as product can be.
So be warned my nerdy health aware friends. While this might seem like the ultimate health monitoring gadget, it might be wise to just stick to the Fitbit.
