This phone is a simple, dark design that I like. The on screen buttons keep the phone relatively compact compared to other devices with physical and/or capacitive buttons. I like that you can see where the NFC chip is. The dedicated camera button is always welcome as it allows you to launch the camera while the screen is locked VERY quickly and functions as a two-stage shutter.

The display is nice but not the best around. It is sharp and colorful but just not quite as stunning as the display you can get on an HTC. The Bravia software actually does a nice job making pictures and videos look their best. The camera is excellent. It seemed mediocre when I got the device running Android 4.0. Since going to 4.1 I just seem to be able to take better pictures. Photos are sharp and colorful. Video quality is solid. Having 13 megapixels is obviously nice for cropping.

Reception and call quality are nothing special at all. I can't say this has the best reception I've come across and the speakers are nothing special but they surely are not bad. The battery life gets me by but is not great. I could easily go through the entire battery before the day is over if I use this device hard. However, with light use it will make it through the day and the Extended Standy option that conserves power when you aren't using the phone does an excellent job.

I love Sony's Android skin and performance. Virtually everything is fast a smooth and looks good. It isn't cluttered and ridiculous like TouchWiz from Samsung. High performance games run great on here. Riptide GP2 and Real Racing 3 look great and perform well.

This phone runs Android so the ecosytem is great. Its got applications for everything I use for music, videos, fitness, and connecting to my vehicle. It works with tons of hardware accessories from Sony and lots of others. Video out, screen mirroring, NFC devices and lots of others can be used.
