A brilliantly designed phone of its time. Though when it was launched it had an outdated OS, it was updated constantly for more than an year unto Gingerbread. The processor was rated 1GHz but underperformed. The display was crisp but the lack of AMOLED was particularly noticeable in the dark, even the brightness was low for comfortable outdoor viewing. The call quality was average, nothing to stand out, but EDGE reception was weak. WiFi also couldn't connect to my university network. Software was bloated with Sony software but could be removed once rooted. Rooting was also not easy initially. Default launcher was good after updating to Gingerbread. Battery life was pretty sad considering it had 1500mAh. It would barely last 10 hours with heavy use and 16 hours with light use.
Overall the phone served me for about an year and a half after which it's motherboard short circuited. A satisfactory buy for but not worth paying the premium for looks over performance.
