Google Glass face-first (Top Shelf 010)

Google Glass is a modern take on an old idea — computers controlled not with your fingers, but with your body and voice. In countless examples of science fiction and cinema, artists have experimented with touch interfaces and voice dictation and Glass integrates both. But is it truly the computer of the future?

Google Glass hacks (Top Shelf 010)

The Google Glass Explorer Edition was designed for developers and enthusiasts to play with, and within days hackers were able to gain root priveleges on the device. The major advantage of a rooted Glass is the ability to run apps that Google won't approve, but since Glass is essentially a computer, some have begun to speculate on what security intrusions might look like on a device that can see and hear everything exactly what you do.

Glass is essentially a portal into your first-person experience, and the idea that someone could break into those experiences is a harrowing one indeed.
