PS3 and Vita game Sound Shapes has some amazing music from some amazing artists: think Beck, Jim Guthrie, and Deadmau5. But it also lets players create their own levels and sounds, and soon you'll be able to check out our favorites. On May 28th, the Sound Shapes Milkcrate will add five guest-curated albums, featuring the best player-created levels the game has to offer. Among those guests is The Verge, and you'll also be able to check out hand-picked albums from the likes of gaming site Gamespot, record label Ghostly International, Pixeljunk Eden composer Baiyon, and Sound Shapes developer Queasy Games. And if you're looking to get started making some levels of your own, there's good news, as today the game received two new $0.99 sound packs, letting you jazz up your creations with both dubstep and '80s synth-pop.

Paul Miller's coming back to the internet, and we need your help

On May 1st, 2012, our friend and senior editor Paul Miller left the internet. It was weird.

Now he's coming back, and it's going to get even weirder.

At 12AM ET on Wednesday, May 1st, Paul will return to the web, and it's our responsibility to make sure he sees the year's best stories, tweets, GIFs, Vines, and more. (Vine wasn't even around when Paul left, so we'll have to explain that to him. Additionally, we've created a Snapchat account for Paul. Send him your best shots at pauljmiller.) We'll be livestreaming the entire event as a special edition of The Vergecast, starting at 11PM ET on April 30th.

But we need your help: what should Paul see when he gets back?

We want you to find the one thing from the past year that you think Paul Miller should see when he comes back to the internet and tweet it (or whatever) with #whatshouldpaulsee. We'll be collecting your tweets, Vines, Instagrams, photos, stories, and GIFs and pulling them together for Paul, and we'll be watching with him live at midnight on May 1st. Hopefully his brain won't explode.

Early last week I got an unusual email from Vizio CTO Matt McRae. "Want to put a Verge logo on a race car?" he asked. Turns out Vizio and Hulu Plus had teamed up to sponsor a TRG-Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 in the Pirelli World Challenge, and they had some space left on the car. I ran across the office to talk to our advertising and marketing people into paying for it, and now here we are — that's our car, the #26 Vantage GT4, driven by Damien Faulkner.

This is TRG-AMR's first entry into the Pirelli World Challenge, and the car's first race is today at 7:30PM ET on the streets of Long Beach — you can watch a live stream here on the World Challenge site, or you can watch it May 5th on NBC Sports at 2PM ET. And you can wish Damien good luck on Twitter, he's @DamienFaulkner — he was hanging out with Google X's Jeff Huber the other day and tweeted a photo of himself wearing Glass. So yeah, he's our guy.

We'll obviously be cheering on #26 for the rest of the season, and we'll see if Damien agrees to wear Glass for a race sometime. Happy racing!

We're extremely excited to announce that The Verge has been nominated for a whopping five Webby Awards — including Best Writing (Editorial), Best Visual Design (Function), Best Consumer Electronics Site, Best Podcast for The Vergecast, and Best News App. It's obviously a huge honor for us to be recognized for the work we're doing, and we're flattered just to be included alongside some of the amazing entrants in these categories.
