Regional carrier US Cellular is releasing its Samsung Galaxy S III only a few days after AT&T. The company has confirmed that the 16GB version of its Galaxy S III will be available to buy online by Wednesday, July 11th; it will be available in stores by the end of the week. As we reported previously, the 16GB version will sell for $199.99 on contract, but only after a $100 mail-in rebate. The 32GB version, which will be only available in white, isn't coming at the same time, though: it will be available "shortly" after the initial launch. We haven't heard when pre-ordered phones are arriving, but we wouldn't be surprised if they started showing up soon. Meanwhile, Verizon's version has been pushed back until July 12th.

US carrier release dates for the Samsung Galaxy S III have shifted a bit over the last month — but Verizon largely kept its mouth shut. However, the carrier is now finally letting customers know that the Galaxy S III will be available in stores and online as of July 10th. Not coincidentally, this is the same day that all its pre-orders will be shipping out, and the phone will still cost the same $199.99 that it has cost since Verizon's pre-orders started. While Verizon may not be the first to market, the combination of excellent hardware with the carrier's maturing LTE market will make a pretty compelling option for buyers in the US.

It's been a bit of a journey for Sprint customers looking to get the Samsung Galaxy S III, but the day has finally arrived and the Android 4.0-equipped smartphone is now available from the carrier's website, as promised. Many of those who pre-ordered the device weeks ago have already received the phone, but for those who weren't ready to commit it's been a long wait due to manufacturing issues on Samsung's end. Galaxy S III to top 10 million sales next month, says Samsung

Last we heard, the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S II had moved over 52 million units worldwide between them, and it doesn't look like the latest in the series is going to struggle to live up to the lofty precedent. According to Reuters, Samsung's head of telecommunications JK Shin expects the Galaxy S III to top the 10 million unit mark by the end of July.

We've heard that a number of carriers will be delaying the launch of the Galaxy S III, and now AT&T has joined the ranks. We just received a statement from the carrier noting that "manufacturer supply contraints" of the Galaxy S III "have caused a delay to expected pre-order shipments." Now, some of the buyers who expected to get their phone today will end up receiving their device "no later than Monday, June 25th." An update to yesterday's statement, Sprint is now saying it won't be able to sell any Galaxy S IIIs tomorrow, June 21st, which was the phone's originally intended launch date. The carrier is placing the blame squarely on Samsung, which told Sprint that it simply wouldn't be able to deliver enough phones.
