Ease of development has nothing to do with future proofed functionality and UI design.
Well I do know that a console having faster hardware is more likely to be future proof. Once that box is sold you aren’t really going to be extending it’s performance. The PS4 has more guts in it for gaming and it is as easy to develop for as the Xbox One as they both share very similar programming environments ( unlike PS3 ).
We have no idea what value will be added by the Kinect ( the PS camera system and DS4 controllers can do most if not all the same things ) and the INFINITE POWER OF THE CLOUD is something that any console or computer can have. I have a smartphone and attached to it is the INFINITE POWER OF THE CLOUD !!!!
So if I was to hazard a guess I say the PS4 has the longest legs and it comes in 100 bucks cheaper. If the PS camera adds value I pay 60 bucks or get a bundle with a game.
By the way all of the magic ( “real” multitasking and such ) of the kinect mostly resides behind a Gold Paywall at this point and time so when one talks about talking to it and having it bring up programs and this and that please add 60 bucks a month .

I don’t think you know how exclusives work
I know how exclusives work and about timed exclusives and how money works.
I don’t know the situation with Titanfall, and the developer has mentioned the possibility of a PS4 release,
Well there you go. As I said IF a bunch of PS4s sell there will be a push to have it ported. The fact that it will be as easy to port to PS4 as a One means there is little incentive not to. IF the developer is making noise about a PS4 port there is obviously a timed exclusive of some sort. When the PS4 version comes out is up in the air but the timing is contractual not technical.
Now I have desktop Intel Core whatever so adding the right video card ( cut down in price by 100 since I’ll already have a PS4 ) and there is Titanfall on my screen.

I’m the owner and they’ll never screw a paying customer.
Remember you aren’t the owner. That is the whole point of the push away from used games to a much more highly controlled retail environment. Once the discs are gone so is a lot of leverage. Remember to check the EULA for phrases like “Terms subject to change without notice”
IF consumers are going to lose something like the First Sales Doctrine then it’s gonna have to be for something other than some vaguely worded talking points. We have Sony to thank for whatever clout we as consumers have for now. Things could change of course.

I don’t want all my “blind fanboyism” to be wasted over nothing.
Blind Fanboyism is never wasted, it’s always fun for the participants and observers.

The licensing issue itself is something that MS has taken over for developers and consumers
PS4 will just pass it on
Publishers and Devs are going to do what MS tells them to ? They will have no control at all ?
MS should advertize by just having a guy sitting on a couch playing FIFA on his XboxOne (with his fantasy football league pinned to the side bar),
Only the Official NFL fantasy league is supported you can’t use ESPN or Yahoo or whomever.

You are out of context. The two consoles mentioned were the PS4 and Xbox One.
Oh so Xbone/ PS4 is a special case. Only in the case of Xbone does specs not matter. All other machines are a different story. Convenient to say the least ;-)
Seems to me specs matter or they don’t. Why do specs not matter with Xbone but they DO matter with Wii U ?

In 8 years is when they turn off the internet?
Or maybe they have a simple solution when the One gets out of business.

I’m sorry but you live in a foreign place and Microsoft finds you offensive. What did the support person say … play your xbox one games when get back home … Pro Tip for MS some people ARE already HOME even if they aren’t in the US

He’s not wrong.
Yes Microsoft says that if you were to buy the Xbone and the Kinect and the Controller separately it would be a 3000 dollar value !!!
Also it seems you need a gold subscription just to use the kinect properly with all of that multitasking and voice control.
Turns out MS is offering Kinect as a service !

Google needs to make a game console.
They can reuse a bunch of GoogleTV HMDI passthrough boxes, call it the Gamer One and go off on how great the Cloud is for gaming and how specs don’t really matter games do…. MS says the power of the Cloud is INFINITE who does the Cloud better than Google ???

Titanfall comes out in April of next year. May of next year the PS4 version comes out. Once Sony sells a bunch of PS4s why wouldn’t a developer want to make some easy money.

According to Xbronies 1 game can be shared by 10 people the day the game is released which is going to cost developers even more. MS hates developers !!!! :-D
