No they can’t. Given their current situation and substantial downsizing to reduce costs, they don’t have enough resources to focus on different high-end OSs at once. MS pays then a billion bucks annually to use WP and develop it, they should stick to it imo. Slowly and steadily, WP will gain market and mind share, no doubt about that.

This is crap, Windows 8 notified you about updates DAYS before, so with this much of time, anyone should be smart enough to manage the update without letting it ruin your stuff.

Never had such issue, I keep my disks on scheduled defrag and and clean’em up regularly. I have made my c drive 100 gigs and with W8 and some major heavy apps, it never goes past 60. Either case, I feel 50 gigs is kinda insufficient with all the stuff you’ve installed. As far as windows eating up space goes, W8 is fine I guess, rummage through your stuff again, some softwares are sneaky bastards. lol

Well, look it up, new features are already under development while an update is outed. Company R&D always works one generation ahead of the market. I bet you, Microsoft has all these features up and running, but they’only release it until the next update cycle

YouTube is content based, Google search is not.
Bing might take off, given MS works it’s ass on it.
For YouTube, it don’ think that anyone can compete with the sheer number of content it holds and streams.

That’s how thing roll in this industry. There’s no denying that WP is an immature OS. It is also true that stuff like rotation lock, brightness slider, notification center, soundtrack scrubbing, different volume/ringer settings and bla bla bla are absolutely necessary, but adding this in one shot would just not be viable for MS or Nokia even. Companies always leave shit out to brag how awesome their next update’s gonna be. I agree WP missing all this functionality, Nokia still managed to sell decent amount of these devices. I remember when WP8 released and some guy at a MS conference asked about lack of notification center, the MS guy replied that they ran out of time but it will be added soon via some update. The truth is, they need some missing features to make it seem like that there next update’s gonna be super mega awesome.

This is stupid, just coz a feature isn’t the selling point doesn’t make it less important. Here making phone calls doesn’t sell phones these days, so screw phone calling and add this photo app.

My biggest grunt with MetrotTube has been that it doesn’t play VEVO videos, otherwise, superb app. If Google thinks YouTube without ads on WP is a dent on considerable revenues than why not make an app or Microsoft access to YouTube API.

Me too, it’s a gorgeous phone, but launching a similar flagship (sort of) 6 months later than the first one is kinda stupid. I really love the design, I wish it was a true flagship with next gen specs. I know WP8 isn’t a power hungry OS, but high-end apps, games and higher resolution screens could really use a snapdragon 600.

Bezels are for a reason, the thinner the bezel the less likely is the screen to break. Nokias are durable as a part of this minor idea.
