People really like the app…. why is that funny? I’ve used multiple ios and the standard android apps. None have made me actually want to just browse youtube before. They did a great job of making youtube… sexy. So stop being so demeaning. Though it’s cute that you get so defensive over someone else’s opinion. Honestly, it is laugh out loud funny.
…. except he didn’t say that. It is a YouTube app. The amount of english in the interface is pretty limited, and you can generally find out what the buttons are by pictures or context anyway. The one exception might be the categories menu. All of the content will be in whatever language it was in when you found it… He is pointing out that even non-english speakers can use the app pretty easily.
Yeah, reddit is pretty scattered, but so is every other internet community and generalizations of these communities are natural, and even anthropomorphism can be helpful. (On a side note, I think you combined two words. Personification doesn’t need the anthro attached.) For instance, I would feel comfortable saying that Reddit is excited about finding out what is in that damn safe. Though in my experience with reddit at least, I would say that most users aren’t like Danny described. Most seem to mildly dislike 4chan.
