Despite Page’s call to progress, it’s been a fairly conservative Google I/O keynote: from Google Music All Access to Hangouts, we’re seeing iterations on either Google’s own products or those of competitives.
Innovation is not limited to new hardware. Google has demonstrated some incredible software innovations at I/O so far, which I believe are equally, if not more impressive than a new phone or tablet. The fact that these new software products evolved from existing products (“iterations”) doesn’t mean they aren’t innovative .
Well, the Boeing 787 is the most fuel efficient airliner yet.
But electric? Check out the “SUGAR Volt”, which is a hybrid electric plane concept that uses conventional fuel for takeoff, and electric propulsion in flight.
“Nature” doesn’t have “property”. Both nature and property are concepts humans created. “Nature” referring to “stuff that isn’t us” and property referring to “stuff that someone owns”.
So, it’s a contradiction to state that nature is “taking back its property” when nature by definition cannot have property.
