I see the iPad a much more capable gaming device than the iPhone. Solely on the basis of screen real estate. As tablets get increasingly more powerful I think we will see a huge influx of major titles and maybe some proper peripherals.

Good post. I’m an aspiring developer myself and your quick knowledge drop was pretty educational. The app seems to be pretty well done good luck with sales.

The Verge does a great job of keeping me interested aesthetically. These custom layouts you guys do for features are really refreshing in this stagnant blogosphere. It was a pretty good read as well. I disagree with Keen fundamentally though. I don’t think the problem with these free services is so much political as it is economical. I’m not concerned with the fact that my information is being sold. I would much prefer advertising to be directed at me personally, if I’m going to be bombarded with it. I think the problem is the barriers being created for indie developers, and smaller publishers. If a potential customer can get an equivalent product from your competitor for “free” why would they waste their money on a paid product whose team doesn’t have big advertising partners.

They aren’t building Flipboard exclusively to this phone due to hardware needs. It is obviously to avoid fragmentation issues. Flipboard is an awesome company and product. Galaxy S III should rejoice.

Maybe yourself and your friends use Facebook that way. There are plenty who don’t. Quit being so petty.

Instagram and the proliferation of easily accessible tools like it are a boon for would-be artists who cant afford the expensive tools their interest requires.

Photoshop is not photography. The “art”, in my opinion, of photography is the content of a photo. The subject, angles and lighting. Neither Photoshop nor Instagram can make you an artist.

Great article, Never heard of the author can’t wait to pick this book up. Don’t let idiots undermine you guys. You’re doing an awesome job and I really appreciate the little steps outside of technology the Verge staff take.
