Don’t post anything if you’re not up for some normal debate. All you do is defend you’re not-so-good design.

A square message-balloon icon is just bad design man, common. Have you ever seen a text-balloon with square corners? No, because it’s just bad styling.

You miss my point, in this case it’s less important to show Microsoft and more important to have a logo that indicates “messages” thus the logo should invoke the idea of a text balloon and not the company Microsoft.

I just thought of this but I don’t think my dad would buy something on anything named Xbox.

He knows what it is, and since he’s not a gamer he will ignore it. A lot of people in the world know what Xbox is and if they have nothing to do with it why would they spend money on anything named Xbox.

Then on the other hand, everybody know what iTunes is… even Google Play is less alienating to some generations then the term Xbox.

But then again, I do write this being on drugs so maybe it’s just me.

I’m sorry to say this, but you need to read up on programming. You’re missing the bigger picture.

Flash is not bad at all, you can make beautiful, efficient and fast things. It’s just that it’s very easy for clueless noobs to make bad things in flash. Buggy, slow, memory eating crap that bogs down the entire world. But this is not the fault of flash, which has its flaws obviously.

I share Joshua’s opinion on flash. It’s dying but far from dead and will be here until HTML5 is a complete replacement for all.

You can still do things with flash you cannot with HTML5 at the moment.

Same goes for Java, yes you have security issues and I don’t want to use it personally but when it comes to applications, Java is fine and very safe. Security is only an issue depending on what sort of software you write. If you write a Java app to run on your server nobody will even get to the code and it’s safe.

I think we’re spoiled.

Don’t know how old you are but 1 or 2 proper pieces of tech news every week used to be excess.
I’m annoyed there’s nothing new to read until I realise it has only been 30 minutes since I last looked.

There is only as much news as there is. That’s why everybody has gone “rumour” crazy these days, they need something, anything, including endless iOS7 mockups and rumours.

And I’ve read differently on The Verge, some Nokia’s not being able to charge on Qi pads and some other phones not with the Nokia mats. I’ve read more than a few complaints about this not working.

Eye-candy is just something that looks good and has nothing to do with gloss etc. Their eye-candy is getting old and needs to be refreshed… it’s old candy. I think you must look in a dictionary or something.

It’s like saying people don’t like things to be pretty anymore, they’re bored with beautiful things… no they’re not, they just want something new. NEW EYE-CANDY, this you don’t understand?

The word eye-candy now means stitched leather?? When did that happen?

Wireless charging is pretty useless so far.

1. The only proper reason to use it it by the night-stand..and why not use a cable when you’re sleeping…

2. Charging the phone whilst using it is impossible…so completely useless.

3. No proper standard (the ones that are supposed to be compliant don’t work together…WTF)

4. It does not ad bulk nor weight if done properly, see HTC 8x

Conclusion:

It’s a pretty useless feature for charging your phone without a cable when you’re sleeping.
That’s a lot of effort to solve something that needs not solving.

NOW… when I can charge my phone by being within 30 cm or so from a pad/mat/antenna and therefore can continue to use my phone whilst it’s being charged…then we’re getting somewhere!

Also a sort of “power brick” with magnets in my car would be very very very nice. Just slap it on there and voila, connected & charging.

Hideous and not Apple like at all.

This would actually be a step down from iOS 6 and not improve the visual style at all.

This design is even more boring then what it currently is. Has no eye-candy, no pazaz.
iOS 7 will not be like this…trust me.

The style will be basically what it is now, only with less gloss, no leather etc and a bit cleaner.
Besides updates to NC and all other things they will (have to by now) change.

I’m sorry but a government funded app for the Police…will obviously not skip on one of the Ecosystems. That needs to be “global” and has nothing to do with WP doing better.
