Ahahahah. It’s not bad. It’s fucking bad.

Sometimes I really feel sorry for Microsoft, but at the same time I can’t really blame them. They’re still trying to fight the desktop wars and haven’t been able to nail down a proper interface that endures for over a decade. It’s a symptom of having no vision and stealing bits and pieces from every random OS (mostly OSX) without any forethought or direction.

WebOS/HP, Motorola, HTC, LG, and Nokia failed to build long-term, profitable businesses around smartphones. What makes anyone think that a company with no history of consumer-friendly software can deliver a product on top of a viable platform in the face of fierce competition?

Spotlight searches for everything so the results aren’t as good when trying to launch apps. And if I’m not mistaken, it’s tuned like QuickSilver to learn your habits so it prioritizes your input based on past launch events. At least that’s what it feels like.
